India's population was expected to be the world's largest by the next decade. With such a large population and little money in India, poverty spread throughout the country. However, India has found a way to decrease the poverty rate significantly. For example, the poverty level has decreased to thirty percent in the last three decades. Economic stability in India can be achieved through the raising of taxes and cutting insufficient spending to decline economic inflation. One third of the population in Pakistan is below the poverty line, and the country is now over fifty-five billion in debt. Of the seventy-five million citizens, fewer than three million citizens of Pakistan's pay their taxes. Unlike India, Pakistan has not improved their issues with poverty and debt. In order for the overall economy to improve, they must begin to tax the rich.
